Character Bios: Ray the Reaper

Introduction

I know, I missed another day, but I went out to eat sue me. To make up for this I’ll make a double upload and do two character bios instead of just one. Welcome to another addition to the Character Bios segment; this time it’s for Ray who is in my opinion one of the cooler characters to come of the Josh Comics universe. Speaking of universe, a fun fact is Ray and Joey Pescotti are actually part of the exact same series just different points of view. I don’t have much else to say so let’s get started.

Origin

This was in my junior year (2012) where I wrote a story for the robotic anti-hero. In creative writing class I was assigned to write a short Sci-Fi story; since I was playing a lot of Mega Man and Rumble fighter, I was inspired to make my story about a super fighting robot. Ray is actually based of my Rumble Fighter avatar who had long hair a scarf and mechanical blades for hands. I know I was going through some kind of teenage edgy phase, but it was still artistic drive none the less.

Back Story

In the same apocalypse that wiped out Joey’s memory, his childhood friend Ray was knocked into a deep coma. A space ship dropped down to earth and took in his unconscious body to “repair” him. Years later the robots from space modified Ray’s body recreating him into a cyborg. He was equipped with countless weapons to defend himself. One day, Ray rebelled against his new robot family and hacked the base’s super computer unleashing the Virus Queen Virexa. Now Ray is teamed up with his squad, Barry Barrage and Sky to defend the robot empire from the virus threat.
