Character Bios: Tammy Laughton

Yes I take weekends off. I travel, deal with it. Anyways, welcome back to Character Bios! We’re back to older characters and we’re also taking a look at another female. Today’s star is Tammy Laughton, the protagonist of which is probably my most original idea to date. I’m excited to explain how the first lady of Josh Comics came to be so let’s get started!

So this was the later half of freshman year of high school (2010) and I grew out of my feminine Disney Channel phase. I grew bored of those sitcoms as they seemed so cliche. Suddenly I decided to make a series that was a satire of children’s comedy tropes. The plot is about a girl who is the only person in the world who is aware that she’s in a TV show. This knowledge gives her the ability to constantly break the fourth wall. Tammy even has a twin brother named Tommy and the show juggles plots between them. Tammy’s last name is also a pun; Laughton is play on “laugh a ton” which references the laugh track only she can hear.

Back Story

In world where it’s all one big studio, stands a teenage girl named Tammy Laughton who is the only person to know she’s being watched as a television show. She wears headphones and plays music on a regular basis to block out the laugh tracks and corny jokes those around her make. Tammy makes it her mission to travel every show and channel in order to find whoever is running the station in hopes of shutting it all down. The quest for her sweet privacy begins.
